Zhanna M. Pinkus, MD

Dr. Zhanna M. Pinkus is eager to return to her home in Orange County as she joins Newport Center Women’s Health. Having immigrated from Russia at the age of 10, Dr. Pinkus’ family settled in Huntington Beach, CA where she enrolled in elementary school. Fluent in Russian, she quickly adapted to California culture and played tennis at Marina High-school. From there she attended The University of California at Irvine where she studied biology and graduated with Honors. After attending Albany Medical College in New York, she returned to CA to complete her training in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the bustling Kaiser Sunset Residency Program.

Dr. Pinkus enjoys the unique combination of long-term patient relationships along with the complex procedures and surgeries that contribute to a life in private practice. Following completion of her training, Dr. Pinkus practiced with the same group for the past 10 years in Torrance, California where she maintained staff privileges at both Torrance Memorial and Little Company of Mary Hospitals. For the past two years she has served as Chair of the OB/GYN Department at Little Company of Mary Hospital. Her husband’s recent current career move has created the perfect opportunity to return to Orange County.

Along with being a dedicated physician, Dr. Pinkus enjoys spending time in the outdoors, especially hiking and skiing. In her off time she is also an avid cook. Her bustling family includes two active young children, who surely will add to the color of life in the OC.!
